Some kids lose their mother through drugs, car accidents, or murder. While Nicoletta loses her mom through one of the worst ways possible: Abandonment because the man she wants to marry doesn't want kids. When I first read that I was full of rage and was earned to read on that Nicoletta was going to Rome to confront her mom and tell that man the truth. However, Nicoletta runs into a snag. A snag called: Curiosity. The man her mom left her for owns a restaurant staffed entirely by megane* and one of the spectacled bunch, Claudio, is kind to her. Now there's another snag but is love like Nicoletta thinks it is or is it something else. Whatever it is working with her mom at the restaurant and being friends with Claudio's ex-wife might complicate things. Written by mangaka, Natsume Ono, Ristorante Paradiso’s art style is unique and may stretch the idea of what is handsome. The waiters kind of look like skulls to me, which is perfect when they’re fighting or being cruel, but not so much when they’re happy. Then at times they look flat, but when you’re rooting for Nicoletta to tell off her mom or reveal the secret to her husband, you might take a blind eye to it. Ristorante Paradiso has one volume as a manga, three volumes in, Gente – Ristorante no Hitobito-, and eleven episodes in the TV anime. Both manga, Ristorante Paradiso and Gente, have been licensed by Viz Media. The anime adaptation is available with English subtitles by Crunchyroll.com, Animecrazy.net, and Watchanimeon.com. The rating for the manga and anime is PG-13 or older, is a pretty pleasing to food manga lover and you learn a little Italian while you read. So, in a nutshell, Ristorante Paradiso is abbastanza buona.Written by Tamrra Artis-Peyton
